Set up a self-paced course
- Create a course. See: Creating a course
- If needed, add content to the course. See: Adding content
- Publish the course, so it is visible in the Library of all users of the course. See: Publishing a course

During a self-paced course
Once the course is published, users with access to the course can enrol in the course and launch it.
The duration of the user's enrolment in the course is based on the course's policy. This also controls when the user's enrolment is destroyed.
If content is added to the course, a user's progress through the content can be tracked via the progress bar on the Course / Enrollments tab. A Completion Date is recorded once the user has progressed through all of the content.
