Using the Dashboard

The Dashboard is the first screen you see when logging in to Heropa, and is available at any time via the Dashboard link on the left hand navigation menu. It provides a summary view of current usage and behaviour on the platform. 

Usage

The top panel contains key metrics relating to usage in the current calendar month. VLU and Storage limits shown are as per your subscription plan. 

• Concurrent VLUs shows the total sum of VLUs for VMs running at the same time. 
• Current GB / Projected GB:
  • Current GB is the amount of storage currently taken up by all existing VMs in environments, and local VM images. Note: VM images provided by Heropa are not included in the storage allocation.
  • Projected GB is an insight that makes it easier to manage storage. It calculates a projection of the storage likely to be consumed by the end of the period, to help determine whether allocated storage capacity will be reached or exceeded. 
• Monthly VLUs shows used vs included VLUs in the current calendar month.  
• Storage GB shows used vs included storage in the current calendar month.  

Behaviour

User and lab behaviour for the current month can be monitored using the interactive chart. It provides a live view of user activity such as logins, number of users, and time spent on the platform during the current month. Lab activity can also be visualized using the chart features.
